Our team uses a number of group and community processes to facilitate the connection between individuals and supportive community groups. We also help promote opportunities for people to voice their needs and stories within a safe context. As well as this we run ongoing activities for youth. Our team work has focused on the youth program and a community development approach to working with refugee communities.
The youth work focus is on:
- recovery from torture/trauma
- developmental youth work
- peace/community building
The community development focus is on:
- building partnerships & exploring issues
- identifying needs & on-going communication liaison
- moving private concerns into the public arena of social change
